Point heating systems for the Tibetan railway
The point heaters of the highest railway in the world, the Tibetan railway, have been kept snow and ice-free since July 2006 now thanks to Backer ELC point heating systems.
Electric point heating systems for trams
In addition to point heating systems for railways, we have also developed point heaters for trams (grooved rails). Several urban networks of major European cities are equipped with it.
Heating systems for DB
To ensure that the point and inter-lock compartments can be kept free of snow and ice, a lock compartment heating system in accordance with Zch 4E / h 00.09.05 has been developed in cooperation with the Federal Central Office of “DB” in Munich.
